I’m a creative and detail-oriented freelance editorial specialist with exceptional copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.
Over the past 18 years (yikes!), I’ve enjoyed turning out copy and managing editorial projects for big charities, small marketing teams, eclectic magazine publishers (both business and lifestyle titles) and the venerable institution that is our National Health Service – writing everything from columns and interviews with diverse celebrities (including Gail from Coronation Street and Sir Trevor McDonald OBE) to corporate web content and high-level reports, charity communications, news and events.
I’ve also done a lot of work with brand and tone of voice – including running tone of voice workshops as part of my role at Mencap. As senior copywriter there, I built on my interest in translating complex information and unnecessary jargon into clear, engaging text.
I’m now relishing the opportunity to ‘do a bit of everything’ as a freelancer. Most recently, I’ve written web content for Wyevale Garden Centres, blogged for Virgin and edited reports for Barnardo’s.
